It is very important to understand the nature and seriousness of plagiarism, which may be defined most simply as using ideas and materials developed by others without giving them credit. Submitting papers written by others and using information from the internet without citation are examples of plagiarism. Copying answers off another student's tests or quizzes is also plagiarism. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in a failing grade in the course. You should also familiarize yourself with any ESU policies on plagiarism.
