You can quit File Manager by using the Exit command on the File menu. For those working on a stand-alone computer, most likely a faculty member or staff machine, wishing to save the positions and views of your open directory windows, make sure the Save Settings On Exit command under the Options menu has a check mark next to it.
To quit File Manager either (1) select Exit under the File menu, or (2) double-click the Control-menu box, or (3) press <ALT>+<SPACEBAR> to open the Control menu, and then choose Close.
