Shortcut Alternatives to the Toaster Button

Introduction:: This session will show you other ways to minimize, maximize, restore, close, resize, and move a window.
Why Bother With These Alternative Methods?: For the obvious reasons, learning these alternative methods will save you the hassle of clicking on the toaster button and choosing the control commands. In other words, these methods are shortcuts which will save you time once you learn how to deal with them.
How to Manipulate Windows With the Shortcut Commands:

Minimize Command:
-Move the mouse to the single down arrow in the upper right-hand corner.
-Depress the left mouse button.

Maximize Command (normal windows only):

Two Options:

Double-click on the title bar or
Click on the upward-pointing arrow in the upper right-hand corner.

Restore command (minimized windows only):
-Double click on the minimized icon.

Note: The minimized window should "restored" to its previous window mode (could be maximized or normalized).

Restore Command (maximized windows only):
-Click on double headed arrow in the upper right corner of the window.

Moving window:
-Move the mouse to the title bar.
-Depress and hold the left mouse button.
-Drag the mouse to move the window.

Resizing window:
-Move the mouse to window's border.

Side border - Mouse turns into double-headed horizontal arrow.
Top and bottom border - Mouse turns into double-headed vertical arrow.
Corner - Mouse turns into double-headed diagonal arrow

Note: Mouse must rest in the very narrow part of the screen.

-Depress and hold the left mouse button.
-Drag mouse to stretch or shrink the window.

Closing window:
-Double-click on the toaster button.
-Click on the Close option.
