McMunn Planetarium is a facility of East Stroudsburg University's Physics Department.
McMunn Planetarium seats up to 75 people under its dome and features a SPITZ digital projection system that can show films as well as elaborate custom-produced star shows. Since its completion in 2008, the planetarium has welcomed thousands of ESU students and public visitors of all ages.
The planetarium features seasonal programs about the night sky developed by Physics Professor David Buckley. The seasonal sky show is followed by a feature presentation that varies with the desired topic.
In addition to educational programming for ESU students, the planetarium also offers shows to schools and other groups. Fees for groups are $5 for adults 18 and over and $3 for seniors or children 17 and under. Groups must register in advance to receive discounted pricing. One adult chaperone is required for every 8 students. Required chaperones and special needs aides do not pay a fee.
To inquire about group programs call (570) 422-7942 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On-street metered parking is available.
