Notes on grading Phys 132 Laboratories

Prof. Larrabee

 1)      You are supposed to get the sections of the Laboratory signed off during lab.  It is during this process where I can ask you questions and assess how you are doing.  If you hand in a laboratory with a missing section I will treat that section as incomplete.   You will therefore NOT get points for that section.  This is responsible for most of the low grades.  If your laboratory is in red, this is probably the reason.

2)      It is the student’s responsibility to put their name on the Laboratory report and to make it clear WHOSE report is it and who was the partner (if any).  No clear name, no grade.  I am not going though all the reports and try to match handwriting.  Grades with letters in Parenthesis fall into this category.

 3)      Incorrect schematics are incorrect.  Draw them carefully and correctly.

4)     Laboratories handed in after the due date will not have the on you own section graded and included in the grade.  These are marked in Blue.
