MEMBERSHIP in PSI CHI
Membership is by invitation and based on a preliminary review of the academic records of perspective members. Applicants are encouraged to attend meetings of ESU's local chapter and participate in outside activities. Towards the end of each semester, applications and participation are reviewed and the current members vote on the applicants. The one-time membership fee of $35 is due at induction for those who are accepted into Psi Chi.
Membership in Psi Chi is not only an honor, but also an exciting and stimulating experience, where members work together to advance the field of psychology. It is an opportunity to get to know fellow students, as well as faculty and other career professionals. As an organization, the chapter is establishing itself within the community through various successful outreach programs. Members of the psychology community are invited to speak about their specific areas of expertise. These are just some of the activities that Psi Chi is involved in and with the help of new and current members the hope is to expand involvement in the field of psychology.
