Sue also teaches part-time for ESU’s Foreign Language Department. Her scholarship investigates technology and service learning initiatives. The Northeastern Pennsylvania Writing Project (NPWP) is located on the campus of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU), one of fourteen institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. We are located in the northeastern corner of the state in Monroe County (population—138,687), but our claim to fame is the Pocono Mountains, once known as the honeymoon capital of the world. The NPWP is housed in the English Department of East Stroudsburg University. Site Director, Lucy Stanovick is an associate professor at ESU as the English Education Specialist. She worked six years as assistant co-director at the Missouri Writing Project before re-locating to ESU. Lucy also taught high school and middle school English in Virginia and Missouri. Her scholarship investigates the intersections between critical literacy with print and nonprint text, inquiry, and diversity. |
