Terry L. Flatt joined the ESU music faculty in 1985. He holds an advanced degree in Opera/Musical Theatre Stage Direction from Indiana University, and has directed over 60 shows at the professional, regional, and university levels. Productions he has directed include La Bohème, The Secret Garden, La Traviata, Broadway Nights, Carnival, 1776, Man of La Mancha, Così fan tutte, The Crucible, Backstage Broadway, Jesus Christ Superstar, Carousel, Help! Help! The Globolinks, Sister Angelica, and The Medium, among others.

His current teaching involves Voice, Music Theatre, and Opera. Professor Flatt has performed frequently in recital, and also served as the Choir Director at Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
