Title: Teacher Aides: A Support System for New Teacher Retention, Innovation in the Classroom, and Pre-service Education
Request: People seeking secondary science certification (secondary science majors) who are interested in providing support to teachers as they implement inquiry-oriented activities.
Summary: Interested secondary science majors will spend 10 hours each week in a classroom during which time they will assist the teacher with some of the time-intensive administrative work that impedes the development of inquiry-oriented activities.
Time Period: Fall, 2002 (from September to December).
Requirements:
Support: Each participant will be paid about $772.50.
