![]() Welcome to LVACS.ORG Home of the Lehigh Valley Section of the American Chemical Society The
Lehigh
Valley Section of the American Chemical Society was founded in 1894 and
serves the Lehigh Valley Area including regions of Northeast
Pennsylvania, Southern New
York
and Northwest New Jersey. ACS Local Sections promote public
awareness of
chemistry
through involvement in the community and outreach programs and by
working with students of chemistry and science. We hope to encourage an
interest in the chemical sciences. The LVACS also provides a
valuable
forum for communcation between members and serves as a platform for
sharing
scientific and educational information.
The LVACS is a volunteer organization dedicated to advancing chemistry and chemical engineering in the Valley. We work with industry and academia to educate the public about the benefits of our profession and science. Our section meets eight times per year at various locations within the section boundaries. For more information please see the section meeting links below. If you are
interested
in becoming a member of ACS, please go to http://www.chemistry.org/membership/join.html
