teachers. A quarterly children's literature newsletter is available by

in late 1994 by Michael Joseph of Rutgers University, Child-Lit is a forum for
engaging and often spirited discussion of topics related to the theory and
criticism of literature for young people. Its subscribers, at times numbering
over a thousand, include librarians, K-12 teachers, college and university
professors, publishers, authors, illustrators, and parents.

·This nonprofit trade association of
children's book publishers and packagers and producers of related literacy
materials for children sponsors National Children's Book Week each November.
The site includes an online catalog of support materials and original articles
of interest written by specialists.

useful for curriculum implementation in K-12 classrooms. Additional

·David K. Brown, from the Doucette
Library of Teaching Resources at the University of Calgary, has created a gem
that may be the most comprehensive general children's literature site.
From here you can access a wide variety of information, such as current news in
the field, children's book awards around the world, author information,
children's stories online, and lists of recommended books, lesson plans,
electronic journals and book review sites, etc..

Children's Book Center (CCBC)-
·The School of Education at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison maintains this Web site. The center's no circulating
collection provides and excellent research library for adults with an interest
in children's and young literature.
Fairrosa Cyber
Library of Children's Literature-
·The special feature of this site is
the organization of discussions from the children's literature listservs, making
it easy for researchers to access past topics. Fairrosa, the pseudonym for
Roxanne Hsu Feldman, a school in New York City, also inculddes thematic
booklists, awards, numerous links to dragon book lists and Internet sites,
reviews, ect.

Vandergrify's Special Interest Page-
·A large site with information about
youth literature, genre fiction, women's studies, and related topics is
maintained by this noted Rutgers University children's literature professor and
author. The general categories with hundreds of links include children's
literature, history of children's literature, linking literature with
