Greetings

bulletDear Colleagues,

NCHC at Chicago proved an enjoyable experience. Those of you who attended know that we had seasonably pleasant weather for the City as TextŠ experience. We had  a number of NE-NCHC regional presentations at panels and poster sessions, a productive regional business meeting, and an enjoyable romp through the Museum of Science and Industry at the gala hosted by our own Norm Weiner.

On a more somber note, we were  particularly fortunate in being able to hear Paul Simon expound on the needs for higher education in the twenty-first century in what must have been one of his last public appearances before his untimely death.

Our Vice President Mark Anderson, as Convention Planner, has selected the theme for our upcoming conference in Hartford, Connecticut April 1-4: Exploring Our Common Humanity.

The executive council is working on the conference planning for Hartford, Connecticut.  Unfortunately, we are having to make some changes, since  the hotel we had under contract has been sold and will be closed for renovation during the time we will need it.   Mark is working on the situation and will send out new information as soon as it is available.

We look forward to seeing many of you in Hartford in the spring!
