The spring issue of the Northeast Regional Newsletter features final plans for the regional conference, "CIVIL WAR: MANY BATTLES, MANY STORIES" at Gettysburg this March.  Highlights of the conference schedule are included in this issue, along with information on various conference events and sites.

We hope you will be joining us at this year’s convention. The site is a particularly attractive one, with opportunities ranging from horseback riding on the battlefield to explorations of the Eisenhower Museum to a shopping trip at the HUGE new Boyds Bear Country!

In the next newsletter we hope to bring you some of the highlights of the annual conference, to which end the editor welcomes submissions from all of you who attend.…..and pictures will be particularly appreciated. In general, we hope that the newsletter will be seen as a way for members to exchange ideas and practices on their campuses. We encourage members to send us such submissions for all issues. We will continue to spotlight honors programs around the region in future issues, if interest in such features remains. Please also send announcements concerning conferences and events on your campuses which you would like us to feature. Other articles and submissions are encouraged. Besides articles, we remain interested in receiving newsletters from the membership. If we are not already on your distribution list, please add us.
