Pennsylvania State Grants

The Pennsylvania State Grant Program is administered through the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Authority (PHEAA).  This program is available to eligible Pennsylvania residents who attend a PHEAA approved post-secondary institution as an undergraduate student.

Major Eligibility Requirements
  1.   Meet financial need criteria.
  2.   Be enrolled on at least a half-time basis in a PHEAA-approved undergraduate program of study.
  3.   Be a high school graduate or the recipient of a GED.
  4.   Demonstrate academic progress for continued aid. Progress Guidelines
  5.   Be a Pennsylvania resident (domiciliary).


* All students are urged to apply even if the deadlines have passed, since late applications are considered if funds permit.

Awards

    Awards for '99-'00 ranged from a maximum of $3100 for a student who was enrolled full-time (12 credits or more) and $1550 for a student who was enrolled half-time (at least 6 credits).
