CLUB
The Economics/Management Club is open to economics majors
and others interested in economics. It promotes the understanding of economics
through closer interchange between students and faculty; guest speakers;
and visits to conferences, seminars, Wall Street and the Stock Exchange.

OFFICERS FOR 1999 — 2000:
The Economics and Management Club elected new officers
for this academic year. The President is Todd Shevlin, the Vice-President
is Jessica Kirkpatrick, the Secretary is Jason Sullivan, and the Treasurer
is Steve Amico. The club is currently planning activities for the upcoming

UPCOMING TRIP
The Economics & Management Club is planning a trip
to the annual AEA/ASSA Conference, which will be held in Boston.

Annual Conference in BOSTON, January 7-9, 2000
The deadline for registration and hotel reservation is December
6, 1999.
Trip cost is $25 for Conference plus the cost of the
hotel accomodations. The club is in the process of arranging transportation.

CONFERENCE
Ursinus College hosts the Eleventh Annual Spring 2000
Undergraduate Economics Conference on April 12, 2000. ESU students are
invited to submit papers to Professors Neelakantan or Christofides.

OMICRON DELTA EPSILON
(Alpha Xi)
Alpha Xi Chapter of Omicron Delta
Epsilon, the International Honor Society of Economics, confers distinction
for high scholastic achievement in economics, stimulates and promotes student
interest in all aspects of economics; publishes a journal entitled The
American Economist; and sponsors the Fisher-Taussig Award Competition.
Membership is open to undergraduate,
graduate, faculty, alumni and honorary members. A general average of at
least a B and class standing in the upper one-third of the class is required

Any student wishing to join may pick
up an application in Melanie's office. The minimum requirements are a 3.0
overall GPA and a minimum of 12 credits in Economics. Inductions will be
held in December. |
