Management majors are encouraged to work closely with their advisors in selecting free 
electives.  This part of the program is designed to enable students to structure a part of  
their undergraduate course of study in order (1) to pursue a second major or minor; (2) 
to explore in greater depth the subject matter of related fields or areas of interest; or (3) 
increase their understanding of the parameters of the workplace which, in turn, will 
enhance their ability to effectuate changes that will improve the operations under their 
direction.  In fulfilling this requirement, students are advise to enroll in upper division 
course work to the maximum extent possible.

III. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Quality Point Average.  Management majors are required to attain a minimum QPA of  
2.5 in order to earn this degree. 
B. Program Residency.  Management majors must complete at least (10) courses at  
East Stroudsburg University with either an ECON or EMGT rubric.
C. Corequisite Courses.  Management majors must pass three (3) courses in mathematics, 
and (2) courses in English and one course in each of the following: CMST;  CPSC; 
Ethics, GEOG;  HIST;  PSY; and SOC.
D. Transfer Credit.  The department does not accept transfer credit in upper division 
coursework (i.e., 300 and 400 level courses) for ECON and EMGT courses completed  
at community colleges, junior colleges, trade schools, etc.
E. University Requirements.  
1. A minimum of 128 semester hours.
2. A minimum of 30 credits in upper division courses.
3. No more than 64 credits in ECON and EMGT may be applied toward the 128  
credits earned from ESU.
4. The minimum residency requirement for the B.S. degree is 32 credits earned 
from ESU.
5. The last 32 credits must be taken at ESU unless a waiver is granted.
