CPSC 545 Networks and Data Communication (3:3:0)

This course gives a foundation in the study of data communications and computer networking. Topics covered will include basic data communications, the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model, Local Area Networks (LAN) and common communications standards. For graduate credit a student will be required to write a term paper or execute a project that reflects deeper investigation of the topics covered in the course.

Prerequisites: CPSC 240
