The College of Health Sciences is the region’s leader in the preparation of health professionals including clinical healthcare and sport-related professions. Undergraduate and graduate majors including exercise science, communication sciences and disorders, athletic training, public health, health education teacher education, physical education teacher education, nursing and a variety of certificates are available to students within the college.

All of our programs are fully accredited by the appropriate professional and/or educational accrediting agencies and, our programs meet the standards of 7 different accrediting bodies. This ensures that our students are well prepared for their professional certifications and licenses.

Students in the college’s programs not only benefit from classroom instruction and laboratory instruction but also engage in experiential learning based in over 60 health care systems, human service agencies, local and state government agencies and academic centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. In addition, departments within the College of Health Sciences have international affiliations and programs in Japan, Ireland, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Faculty within the college are experts and leaders in their fields, they are passionate teachers and mentors, and they engage in active research with grants from federal and state governments, as well as leading national and regional foundations.
