*A minimum of 6 semester hours from the following courses (at least one of which must have an accompanying lab):  BIOL 330 (Microbiology, 4 cr. with lab), 331 (Genetics, 3 cr), 422 (Plant Physiology, 3 cr. with lab), 434 (Cell Physiology, 4 cr. with lab), 449 (Cell Biology, 3 cr); and an additional 3 semester hours in a course numbered 200 - 499 are required for the Biochemistry degree

#CHEM 493:  Research in Chemistry is highly recommended.
