Current research is directed towards the elucidation of important physical properties displayed by carbon fibers after activation with high electric potential or constant current. The extent to which carbon fibers are activated allows control of the size of channels and pores produced in the fibers. Studies are ongoing which involve the capacity of treated fibers to serve as adsorbents, and as platforms in the development of novel chemical sensors. |
Associate Editor of the Analytical Sciences Digital Library (ASDL), an online source of educational materials covering all aspects of the analytical sciences (available free of charge at www.asdlib.org). Within ASDL: Editor for undergraduate research papers (eUGR); Co-Editor of the research poster section (ePosters). Member of the American Chemical Society, and of the Division of Analytical Chemistry. Member of the Council on Undergraduate Research and Sigma Xi. Member of the Society for Electroanalytical Chemistry. |
