The way that it spills out of your mouth

The way it harmonizes with the rate of your heart
The way it’s second nature
_____A crucial part of your every move
The way it teases your tongue every time you exhale
The way that sometimes you have to stop to catch it
The way that it was with you since the very moment you came into this world
The way that it will be with you in your last moments of life
The fact that the only way that it could hurt you- is if you didn’t have it
The way that it is in every beat of you
The way that you take it for granted- but the moment you’re without it, even for a second, you realize you can’t live without it
Because it is the vehicle that carries the scents that makes you smile
It’s behind and among all the words that mean so much
It’s what makes you smile on that first day of spring or when you walk outside after a summer’s rain
It’s such a small part of you, but when you take it in-it satisfies a need that nothing else in the world could quite complete
