Submission Guidelines

Poetry or prose should be typed and the author's name and contact information (such as a phone number or e-mail address) included. Contact information is necessary in case any questions arise about a work, usually involving ambiguous typos.

Prose should be between 1000 and 4000 words. Do not center your poetry unless it's relevant to the theme of the piece. Left hand alignment looks a lot better and more professional than centering. Do not submit first drafts of works. Have someone critique it first and you'll have a better chance of submitting something publishable.

Photography and artwork should be submitted digitally, on a cd, via e-mail, or even as a link to a website such as deviantART.

Submission boxes for hardcopies can be found in the English Department Office on the third floor of Stroud or at the entrance of Kemp Library. Electronic submissions can be sent to calliope_esu@yahoo.com
