Warriors Fail to Score Against Kutztown

Kutztown, Pa. - The tough 2002 season continued for the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team Wednesday afternoon. Kutztown held ESU scoreless to put a damper on the Warriors Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoff hopes.

The Warriors loss was a tough blow to take as they went to 4-4-1 in the PSAC playoff race. ESU went to 6-10-1 on the year while Kutztown improved to 9-5-2 and 4-5 in the Conference.

The Golden Bears received goals from Lauren Tatro in the first half and sealed the game with a tally from Lauren Stevens in the 60th minute for the 2-0 victory.

Lindsay Vandergrift saved four Golden Bear shots in goal while Christa Seid had two blocks in 16 minutes of action.

The team will now be off until next Tuesday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 3:00 p.m. match.
