ESU Blanked by Shippensburg University on Super Soccer Saturday

East Stroudsburg, Pa. - The Warrior women's soccer squad fell to Shippensburg University 2-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium. East Stroudsburg University is handed their first loss in PSAC play with a record of 3-1-1 and is now 4-7-1 overall. Shippensburg University remains undefeated in the PSAC at 3-0 and is now 9-2 overall.

Shippensburg University took the early lead with a goal from Sophomore Lauren Bolis (Haddonfield, NJ) at 6:31. Shippensburg found the net again in the second half at 74:22 from the foot of Sophomore Lindsay Smith (Hagerstown, Md.) assisted by Sophomore Misha Gonzales (Washington, NJ).

ESU goalie Lindsey Vandergrift blocked 4 shots for the day. Shippensburg goalie Meredith Markle had 8 saves in the shutout.

The Warriors return to action at home against Millersville at 6:00 p.m.
