Springfield Sweeps Two Matches from ESU in Men's Volleyball

Springfield, Mass. - Springfield College took two matches from East Stroudsburg Friday night in men's volleyball. The two teams played an extra match to make up Monday's canceled game but the result was the same in both matches in 3-0 wins by the Pride. The first match ended 29-31, 25-30, 21-30 before the night cap had Springfield on top in 23-30, 21-30, 21-30.

Ty Zurn and Dustin Wood down 10 kills apiece to pace the team in the first match. Mike Messinger added seven kills, 12 digs and three blocks while Dave Cuff had 28 assists for the Warriors (3-7, 3-5 EIVA Hay).

Zurn added six kills to lead ESU in the late match while Jon Stellefson had five. Cuff handed 14 assists while Wood had eight digs.

The team stays on the road for a Tuesday night road match at Vassar starting at 7:00 p.m.
