ESU Men's Spikers Split Pair on Saturday

Southampton, NY - The East Stroudsburg men's volleyball squad split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon with Princeton and Southampton. The Warriors defeated host Southampton 3-1 by scores of 30-28, 34-32, 29-31, 30-26 but fell to Princeton in the second match 3-0 (24-30, 13-30, 20-30). Andy Wimmer downed 20 kills on the afternoon for ESU.

ESU (5-10) received six kills from both Wimmer and Benjamin Price in the opening match against Southampton. Jarrett Merkel had a good offensive day in the second match with 15 kills and six digs while Wimmer downed 14 kills, five blocks and three digs.

The Warriors will travel to face Queens College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11th.
