ESU Men's Soccer Defeats Bloomfield College

East Stroudsburg, PA - The East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team recorded another shutout this afternoon defeating Bloomfield College 3-0 at Eiler-Martin Stadium. The Warriors are now 12-1-1 overall and 1-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play for the season, as Bloomfield College falls to 3-12.
The opening goal came from ESU freshman Roy Thompson (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) at 29:35 in the first half. The next goal came at 57:27 in the second half from Jorge Chapoy (Monclova, Mexico) who was assisted by Kamar Samuels (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica). Tom Mustac (Clifton, NJ) netted the final goal at 83:20 off Chapoy's assist.
ESU goalie Bill Sterner (Spring Grove, PA) recorded another shutout with 2 saves for the game. Bloomfield goalie Raymond Kowalik (South Brunswick, NJ) also tallied 5 saves in the defeat.
The Warriors return to action Wednesday as they travel to Kutztown University.
