Chapoy Blisters Net in Warriors Easy Season Opening Victory

September 4, 2002

East Stroudsburg, Pa. - In his first game back since 2000, Jorge Chapoy blistered the net for four goals to pace the Warriors to an easy season opening win, 9-1, over Nyack College Wednesday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium. East Stroudsburg University was playing without five players including All-America Sean Stewart but the seventh-ranked team still recorded the dominating win.

Leading 4-0, Chapoy (Monclova, Mexico) netted his second score nine minutes before the half to make it 5-0 at the intermission. The senior added another pair in the opening 13 minutes of the second stanza for his four tallies.

Freshman Charlie Brostowki (Copaigue, NY) knocked in two goals in his first collegiate game. Bob Harkins (Southampton, Pa.) and Mike Lotocki (Langhorne, Pa.) each handed out two assists on the day.

The Warriors will travel to Philadelphia Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. contest at Holy Family College.
