Gorman and Hippman Provide All the Offense in ESU Victory Over Millersville

East Stroudsburg, Pa. - Sara Gorman and Steph Hippman provided all the Warriors offense as they shutout Conference foe Millersville, 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Gorman recorded her second hat trick of the year while Hippman added a pair of her own for East Stroudsburg University's important PSAC win.

ESU improves to 3-1 in the PSAC and 8-4 overall. The Mauraders fall to 1-4 in the league and 3-8 in 2002.

Gorman started the scoring in the game with 18:28 remaining in the opening half on a pass from Nicole Kocis. The junior added another goal before the intermission to make it 2-0.

Gorman completed the 'hat trick' just under five minutes into the second half of action assisted by Antonia Giannopoulos at 30:14. Hippman added her two score in the last 25 minutes for the 5-0 victory.

The shutout was the team's second in a row after shuting out second-ranked Lock Haven 1-0 in overtime Sunday afternoon. Goalie Kelly Wagner had four saves in the game while Millersville's Amber Elias stopped 15 Warrior shots on goal.

The Warriors will return to action this weekend when they host Catawba College (NC) Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and then 2001 national champion Bentley College at 12 noon Sunday.
