Brett Witmer
Running Backs 2nd Year
ESU '98 - Now entering his second year on the coaching staff, Brett Witmer was one of the finest receivers in the East Stroudsburg history. He coaches the team's running backs.
Witmer holds the school record for most career catches with 167. He is second in career yardage with 2,556. He also holds the school mark for receiving yardage in a game with 236 against New Haven in 1996.
He made a team-leading 57 catches for 891 yards and nine touchdowns in 1996 as the Warriors led the nation in passing with an average of 404.1 yards per game.
Witmer earned a bachelor's degree in 1998 in Secondary Education, Social Studies. That fall, he was an assistant football coach at Pleasant Valley High School.
