Men's Basketball (6-3)

Last Week's Results: Goldey-Beacom (H) 90-82W, Felician (H) 80-63W

The Warriors averaged 85 points and shot 52 percent for the week in beating two new NCAA Division II teams, Goldey-Beacom, 90-82, and Felician, 80-63. The two wins raised the team's record to 6-3, matching last year's entire victory total.

The team shot 54.5 percent against Goldey-Beacom, 30 for 55, and 50 percent against Felician, 34 for 68.

Shahad Abdur-Rahkman (So., Allentown, Pa./William Allen) scored 40 points with 57 percent shooting in the two games. He tallied 17 points against Goldey-Beacom on 6 for 14 shooting from the floor and five of six from the foul line. He also grabbed seven rebounds and fed off a career-high five assists. He then scored a team season-high 23 points against Felician, making 10 of 14 field goal attempts, including 3 of 4 three-pointers.

Two other players scored in double figures in both games. Juwan Justice (Jr., Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) tallied 16 points against Goldey-Beacom and 18 against Felician. Point guard R.C. Kehoe (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) contributed 15 points and made nine assists in the Goldey-Beacom game and had 14 points and four assists against Felician.

Guard Wayne Bishop (Fr., Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) was the top scorer against Golden-Beacom with a career-high 19 points as he made 6 for 11 shots from the floor, including three three-pointers, and converted all four of his free throw attempts. Another freshman, Rob Georges (Fr., Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) added 14 points in the Goldey-Beacom game with 6 for 7 shooting.

Women's Basketball (2-6)

Last Week's Results: Pace (H) 51-65L

Forward Kelly Hutchison (Sr., Reading, Pa./Exeter) scored in double figures for the fifth straight game with 11 points, but the Warriors couldn't match Pace's talent and height in a 65-51 defeat.

Hutchison also grabbed eight rebounds. She has pulled down eight or more rebounds in seven of the team's eight games. She leads the Warriors in both scoring with 13.0 points per game and rebounding with 8.3 per contest.

Guard Stephanie Kuhn (Sr., Columbia, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) scored ten points against Pace, including connecting on both of her three-point attempts.

#Clarion Duals

Brad Washburn (149, Fr., Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) was undefeated in his collegiate dual-match debut, but the Warriors dropped three matches in the Clarion University Duals.

Washburn decisioned Joe Lloyd of Pitt-Johnstown, 7-5; Jim Perry of Clarion, 6-2, and Shawn Wentz of Kent, 3-1, in his first three dual matches. He attended the University of Pittsburgh last year, but did not wrestle.

Two ESU wrestlers, Matt Dudeck (157, Fr., Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) and Dan Roy (174, Jr. West Belmar, N.J./Wall) had a pair of wins. Dudeck downed Rob English of Pitt-Johnstown, 11-7, and Joe Chalton of Kent, 2-0, but lost to Shane McChesney of Clarion, 6-3. Roy had wins over Aaron Mitchell of Clarion, 3-1, and Ryan Kinley of Kent, 5-4, but bowed to Adam Musisko of Pitt-Johnstown, 4-1.
