Friday, Men's Soccer in NCAA Semi-Finals at Barry University, 7 p.m.

The ESU booters will make their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Final Four when they take on host Barry University Friday at 7 p.m in Miami Shores, Fla. in a semi-final round game. The other semis Friday at 4 p.m. will send Cal State Dominguez Hills against Lewis. The finals will be Sunday at 1 p.m.

 

Men's Basketball (2-0)

Forward Juwan Justice (Jr., Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) sank seven of eight free throws in the final 2:38 to enable the Warriors to clinch a70-65 home-opening victory over King's.

Justice finished with a team-high 16 points. Forward Shahad Abdur-Rahkman (So., Allentown, Pa./William Allen) followed with 14 points while point guard R.C. Kehoe (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) added 12 points and eight assists.

Reserve center Andy Wimmer (Fr., Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) pulled down eight rebounds, five off the offensive board, and also contributed seven points. He was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Rookie of the Week.

The Warriors will make a Western Pennsylvania trip this weekend, traveling to Edinboro Saturday and Slippery Rock Sunday. Under the new PSAC crossover scheduling, each Eastern Division team will play each Western Division team once

Center Vanessa Kraft (Fr., Royerstown, Pa./ Spring Ford) made an outstanding home debut as she scored 15 points and pulled down ten rebounds in the Warriors' 67-58 loss to

Le Moyne.

Kraft made five of nine shots from the floor and five of six free throws attempts. She pulled down four offensive rebounds and six defensive. She played a team-high 34 minutes.

Forward Michele Pilenza (Jr., Delran, N.J./Delran) was the team's second leading scorer with eight points.

The Warriors will play their next three games against PSAC Western Division opponents under the new conference mandated crossover scheduling.
