The Warriors will play their third straight home games, meeting Kutztown at 1 p.m.
Saturday in a Family Day contest. The last two ESU games have gone to overtime with the
Warriors beating Shepherd, 35-28, but losing to Millersville, 33-26.

The Warriors made three interceptions and eight sacks, had two runners combine for 222 yards and had a receiver catch ten passes, but still came out on the wrong side of a 33-26 overtime loss to Millersville.
In a game which saw six lead changes and two ties, the Marauders survived on a 14-yard touchdown pass on the first possession of overtime. The Warriors drove to the six-yard line on their OT possession, but two incomplete passes and an interception on a fourth-down pass ended the game.
Tailback Nate Pendry (Fr., Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) turned in the first 100-yard game of his career with 132 yards on 13 carries. He scored twice on runs of four and 38 yards and had a long run of 54 yards. He averaged 10.2 yards per carry, the sixth best single-game mark in the school's history.
Tailback Andre Castiglioni (Jr., Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) just missed getting his fifth straight 100-yard game with 90 yards on 18 carries. He has a season total of 680 yards for an average of 136.0 yards per game. He still needs one 100-yard game to tie the school season record.
Wide receiver John Kotarsky (Jr., Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) caught ten passes for 117 yards. He hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jeremy Palm (Jr., West Lawn, Pa./Wilson), who was 14 for 33 for 164 yards.
Three offensive linemen made the team's 80 percent club for their blocking with tackle Dan Bratton (Jr., Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) and guard Jim Sodano (Madison, N.J./Bayley-Ellard) both scoring 86 percent and tackle Mike Serafin (Jr., Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) 81 percent.
On defense, end Adam DeAngelo (So., East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg) returned an interception 28 yards for one ESU touchdown after safety Jason Zinn (Sr., Hanover, Pa./ Southwestern) had tipped the ball. Cornerbacks Jeremy Brown (So., Centreville, Va../ Centreville) and Nick Beisker (So., Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) also made interceptions.
Zinn and linebacker Kevin Nagle (Gr., Effort, Pa./Pleasant Valley) each made 11 tackles and two sacks while DeAngelo had two sacks and two pass break-ups. Tackle Dustin Barno (So., Easton, Pa./Easton) made seven tackles with one sack and three other tackles for loss.

The ESU men's soccer team opened defense of its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship by beating California, 3-1. The Warriors have won the PSAC title the last three years and seven of the last eight years.
Tom Mustac (Jr., West Milford, N.J./Clifton) scored a goal and had an assist while Troy Grubb (So., Annville, Pa./Northern Lebanon) and Jorge Chapoy (So., Monclova, Mexico/Pequea Valley, Pa.) had the other goals.
Earlier in the week, the Warriors bowed to Dowling, 1-0, in a battle of nationally-ranked teams. Going into the game, ESU was ranked eighth in the NCAA Division II poll and Dowling 17th.

Forward Justina Woolf (Jr., Womelsdorf, Pa./Tulpehocken) continued her prodigious
scoring with four goals in two games as the Warriors scored a pair of 3-1 victories over Philadelphia University and California.
Woolf stretched her scoring streak to seven straight games with all three goals in the win over Philadelphia and one goal in the victory over California. It was the second 'hat trick' of her career. She scored three goals in her first collegiate game against FDU-Madison in 1997.
She has nine goals this season and 38 for her career.
Megan Schumann (Sr., Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks East) and Kim Kotoff (Jr., Old Bridge, N.J./St. John Vianney) tallied first half goals against California to give the Warriors a 2-0 halftime lead. After the Vulcans closed to 2-1, Woolf's goal with five minutes remaining wrapped it up.

Forward Kate Dideon (Jr., Lancaster, Pa./Living Word Academy) scored six goals in three games as the Warriors trounced Mansfield, 7-3, and Slippery Rock, 7-0, before losing to IUP, 3-2.
Dideon and Mardelle Swoyer (Jr., Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) both had 'hat tricks' against Mansfield. Kristy DiVenanzio (So., Limerick, Pa./Methacton) tallied the other goal.
Against Slippery Rock, Dideon and Michelle Butkus (Jr., Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) scored two goals apiece and Meghan Furnia (Jr., Mount Joy, Pa./Conestoga Valley), Becca Henderson (So., Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) and Rachel Miller (Jr., Tunkhannock, Pa./ Tunkhannock) had one each. Miller also had an assist.
Dideon and Josie Schantzenbach (Fr., Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) put ESU ahead, 2-1, against IUP before the Indians scored two second-half goals for the victory.

The Warriors stayed unbeaten in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division race by sweeping Cheyney, 3-0, for their fourth straight win. They made 18 service aces with Christina Tweed (Sr., Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) getting five, Laurie Weisbrod (Sr., Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) four and April Mellott (So., Dover, Pa./Spring Grove) and Andi Myers (So., Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) three apiece.
Later in the week, the team lost to Pace, 3-0. Sarah Brown (Fr., Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) was the team leader with ten kills and a .429 hitting aveage. Ashleigh Reinert (Sr., Dover, Pa./Dover) made 39 assists in the three games.

Darryl Brown (Fr., Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) placed third of 59 runners to lead the Warriors to a second-place finish in the Tidewater Cross Country Classic at Salisbury State.
Brown was timed in 26:49 for the 8,000-meter distance. The ESU team scored 38, three points behind the winner, Rowan, 35. Salisbury State, 58, Catholic, 91, and Bowie State, 154, rounded out the top five in the field of eight men's teams.
The Warriors had two other runners in the top ten. Mike Webster (So., Reading, Pa./Exeter) was seventh in 27:14 and Mike Loenser (Fr., South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) eighth in 27:18. Rounding out the team's top five were Brian Trentowski (Sr., Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem) 11th, 27:38, and Jared Sparks (Fr., Pottstown, Pa./Pius X), 13th, 27:45.

Christel Hibbard (Jr., Springville, Pa./Elk Lake) placed third of 57 runners for the Warriors' top finish in the Tidewater Cross Country Classic at Salisbury State. She was timed in 19:07 for the 5,000-meter distance.
Teammate Danielle Centurione (Sr., Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) was ninth in 19:55. Other members of the team's top five were Nicole Royer (Jr., Bethlehem, Pa./Dieruff) 17th, 20:27; Daffney Parsons (Fr., Trevorton, Pa./Line Mountain) 18th, 20:30, and Heather Bjorndahl (Jr., Coram, N.Y./Longwood) 22nd, 20:47.
The Warriors placed third of seven teams with 68 points just ahead of Adelphi, 69. Rowan won the team title with 35 points with Salisbury second with 58.
