ESU-Bryant Tournament New York Institute of Technology Volleyball

Smithfield, R. I--East Stroudsburg University won one of it's three matches with a win over Assumption College this Saturday at the Bryant Tournament in Rhode Island

East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball dropped it's first match to New York Institute of Technology in 5 games, 9-15, 19-17, 9-15, 15-6, 11-15, at the Bryant College Volleyball tournament.

April Mellot led the Warriors with 33 kills. Ashley Reinert made 54 assists, while Andrea Meyers came up with 16 digs for ESU.

In the second match, ESU downed Assumption College in three straight games, 15-6, 15-11, 15-6, to post it's first win of the season. Mellot led the Warriors with 16 kills and 11 digs, while Meyers made 14 kills for ESU. Reinert had 35 assists in the match.

ESU lost the final match of the day in five games after coming back from a 2-0 deficit, 14-16, 12-15, 15-3, 15-2, 15-17, to St. Anselm's College. Mellot again led ESU with 21 kills, while Meyers had 18 kills, and 15 digs in the effort. Sarah Brown had 5 blocks for the Warriors.
