ESU-Pace University Women's Volleyball

EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior setter Heidi Johnston had 36 assists and five digs for East Stroudsburg University in a convincing win over Pace University in three straight games, 30-27, 30-16, 30-19, Thursday night.

Offensively, the Warriors were led to victory by junior Andrea Myers as she hit the ball for 14 kills, hitting .462, and had five digs. April Mellott, last season's PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Year, had 12 kills and covered the floor well defensively with 21 digs.

The Warriors serving proved unstoppable with 18 aces against Pace. Johnston served up five aces, along with Myers and freshman Kristen O'Connell.

ESU covered the net well on defense, posting two solo blocks and four assisted blocks with help from Johnston and Mellott.

The Warriors, off to a strong start this season, are now 8-4 overall, 2-0 in the PSAC. They will take on Kutztown Tuesday night in a conference match. Pace dropped to 5-7 on the season.
