ESU Women's Volleyball

CLARION - East Stroudsburg University won one of four matches in the Clarion Women's Volleyball Tournament also weekend. The team's record is now 9-8.

The Warriors' win was over Pfeiffer, 30-22, 29-31, 30-23, 25-30, 15-6. They bowed to Fairmont State, 30-26, 30-18, 30-25; Millersville, 17-30, 33-31, 30-28, 30-20, and Concordia, 28-30, 21-30, 30-25, 31-29, 17-15.

Sarah Brown was the team's standout in the tournament, hitting over .300 in every match. She finished with 51 kills in 112 attempts with 14 errors for a .330 hitting mark. She also added nine blocks.

April Mellott led the way in the win over Pfeiffer with 24 kills in 53 swings and only three errors for .396 hitting average. Brown added 17 kills and hit .316. Heidi Johnson made 49 assists and a team-leading 24 digs.
