ESU Volleyball in Clarion Tournament

CLARION - April Mellott and Sarah Brown turned in sizzling hitting performance in lead East Stroudsburg University over Millersville, 10-15, 15-9, 15-13, 15-10, Friday night in the Clarion Women's Volleyball Tournament.

Mellott hit .537 with 26 kills in 41 attempts and only four errors. Brown had a .478 hitting average on 12 kills in 23 swings and only one error Andi Myers added 12 kills and a team-high 20 digs. Ashleigh Reinert made 57 assists and 15 digs.

The Warriors are now 7-7 and will play three tournament matches today against LIU-Southampton at 9 a.m., host Clarion at 11:30 and Shepherd at 2 p.m.
