ESU-Cheyney Women's Volleyball

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University clinched its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division women's volleyball title in four years Thursday night by shutting out Cheyney, 15-0, 15-0, 15-0, in the Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors are undefeated in the division at 9-0 and will finish their regular-season schedule with matches at Pace Thursday night and at PSAC opponent Shippensburg Saturday night.

Coach John Greenlee's team, now 16-13 overall, will meet the Western Division runner-up in the PSAC semi-finals Nov. 10 on the court of the West champion. Edinboro and Lock Haven were tied for first place in the West going into Tuesday night's action.

The Warriors made 17 service aces against Cheyney with Andi Myers accounting for seven of them and Jenn Roser and Ashleigh Reinert four apiece. Heidi Johnston was the leader in kills with six in eight attempts with no errors. Myers and Roser each made five assists with Reinert adding six digs.
