Women's Volleyball ESU Invitational
EAST STROUDSBURG- Junior Andrea Myers had 21 kills and 44 digs for East Stroudsburg University as the Warriors hosted the ESU Invitational in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors first took on Millersville in a rescheduled match from earlier in the season. ESU won in four games, 30-26, 30-23, 21-30, 30-25. The win puts the Warriors at 7-1 in the PSAC East, moving them even closer to the title.
April Mellott had eight kills and 14 digs in the match.. Setter Heidi Johnston had 25 assists, while Mellott and Myers served up five aces each for the Warriors.
In the second match, ESU lost a tough one to PSAC West member IUP in three straight, 23-30, 17-30, 11-30. Mellott and Myers led the Warriors in kills with 12 and 11 each. Johnston had 29 assists in the game.
In other Invitational action, IUP beat Millersville in three games, 30-19, 30-23, 30-11.
