ESU Women's Volleyball

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University swept LIU-Southampton, 15-9, 15-1, 15-7, but lost to Bryant, 15-9, 7-15, 15-9, 15-11, in a pair of Homecoming Day women's volleyball matches Saturday in the Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors actually hit better in the loss to Bryant with Andi Myers at .647 with 14 kills, April Mellott .567 with 22 kills and Sarah Brown .529 with ten kills. Ashleigh Reinert made 44 assists, 16 digs and five solo blocks and Laurie Weisbrod had 15 digs.

Against LIU-Southampton, Mellott was the leader with eight kills and .a 411 hitting average while Myers had seven kills and Brown five kills in only six swings with no errors. Cassie Brinn made four blocks with two solos and Reinert had 25 assists.

ESU is now 13-11 with the team's next match at West Chester Tuesday.
