ESU-New Jersey Institute of Technology Women's Volleyball
EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University served up 26 aces as the Warriors easily defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology 30-8, 30-12, 30-8 in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Jodi Wenger led the Warriors to victory with 19 of the team's 26 aces. Wenger also had 19 assists and three digs.
Abby Hazelton led the Warrior offense against NJIT with nine kills. Hazelton also had the team's lone block in the game.
Junior Andrea Myers had five aces and eight kills for the Warriors, hitting a .571 average.
Covering the floor well defensively for the Warriors were Jessica Nourse and Kristin Matejicka, both picking up four digs.
The win over NJIT bumps the Warriors to a n 11-8 overall record. They remain 3-1 in PSAC action. ESU will play Tuesday at Millersville in a conference match.
