ESU Swimming Invitational

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's Natalie Weingartner and Jamie Miller each won two events and swam on the winning 400-yard medley relay in the ESU Swimming Invitational Saturday in the Koehler Fieldhouse pool.

Weingartner won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.87 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.53. Miller was first in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:22.76 and the 400 individual medley in 4:58.41.

The two then combined with Mikeala Thorne and Heather Clouser to set a pool record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:16.33. The event is not regularly on the list of events for home dual meets which usually open with a 200-yard medley relay.

The Warriors had one other winner, Suzanne Skrzenski in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.16.

There was no team scoring in the meet which was the final tune up for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Swimming Championships Feb. 21-23 at Clarion.
