ESU Swimming Kutztown Invitational
KUTZTOWN - Natalie Weingartner won two events and finished second in a third event as East Stroudsburg University placed second of nine teams in the Golden Bear Swimming Invitational at Kutztown which ended Saturday.
Weingartner won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.38 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:36.93. She also was runner-up in the 200 individual medley in 2:18.90.
The Warriors had three other individual winners in Karen Scott in the 50-yard freestyle, 25.47; Jamie Miller in the 100 butterfly, 1:02.05, and Heather Clouser in the 200 backstroke, 2:14.37. Clouser also was second in the 500 freestyle, 5:26.05, and the 100 back, 1:03.31.
Swarthmore won the meet with 503 points with ESU scoring 471.50 and Kutztown, 307. Edinboro, 285 1/2, and Salisbury State, 259, completed the top five.
