ESU-Millersville Women's Swimming

EAST STROUDSBURG - Heather Clouser won three events and Erin Kowalik and Jamie Miller took two apiece as East Stroudsburg University downed Millersville, 146-103, in women's swimming Saturday.

Coach Lisa Pizzuto's team raised its record to 8-2, one short of the school single-season victory mark of nine jointly held by the 1986 (9-3) and 1987 (9-4) teams. The Warriors will play host to Mansfield in what was originally the final dual meet next Saturday.

Pizzuto may scheduled another meet, however, for Feb. 10 as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships at West Chester have been moved back a week until Feb. 22-24.

Clouser swept the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events and the 500 freestyle. Kowalik was first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle and Miller took the 100 and 200 butterfly.

For the second straight meet, the Warriors swept the 50-yard freestyle with Karen Scott first in 25.60 followed by teammates Donna Gebhard and Natalie Harbold. The Warriors' Mikaela Thorne won the 100-yard breaststroke.
