Bloomsburg Relays

BLOOMSBURG - Jamie Miller and Mikaela Thorne both swam on two relays which placed second as East Stroudsburg University finished fourth in the Bloomsburg Women's Swimming Relays Sunday.

Shippensburg won the five-team event with 225 points followed by host Bloomsburg 202, Slippery Rock 175, ESU 144 and Lycoming 102.

Miller and Thorne combined with Trish Dixon on a 3 x 100-yard breaststroke relay which was runner-up in 3:41.67. They also teamed with Heather Clouser and Donna Gebhard on a 200-yard medley relay which placed second in 1:56.30.

The Warriors were second in one other relay, the 4 x 50-yard freestyle with a team of Karen Scott, Jennifer Gallagher, Erin Kowalik and Gebhard, finishing in 1:45.28.

Although placing third, ESU's 400-medley relay of Clouser, Thorne, Miller and Scott turned in one of the school's best times ever in the event of 4:13.99.
