ESU-IUP Women's Soccer

INDIANA - Michelle Masson scored with 27:33 remaining and Casey Shearing posted a shutout as Indiana University of Pennsylvania upset East Stroudsburg University, 1-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's soccer game Sunday.

Masson found herself in a one-on-one situation with ESU keeper Liz Guinup after a deflection to the goalie's right. She blasted the ball into the opposite corner for the wining goal.

Shearing made 13 saves in handing ESU its first shutout defeat of the season. The Warriors are without the services of last year's leading scorer, All-Conference forward Justina Woolf, sidelined for the season with a knee injury.

The loss drops ESU's record to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference. IUP improved to 4-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in PSAC play.
