ESU-West Chester Women's Soccer

WEST CHESTER - Justina Woolf booted in the 11th game-winning goal of her career as she scored with 6:21 gone in overtime to give East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 women's soccer victory over West Chester Wednesday.

Woolf got loose on a breakaway and put a shot past West Chester goalie Ryan Levine, a sophomore from Stroudsburg. The ESU senior forward had scored all three goals in the team's last game, a 3-2 win over LIU-Southampton.

Gwen Gemberling put the Warriors ahead after 14:40 of play after a pass from Woolf. The game stayed, 1-0, for more than 75 minutes before the Rams' Lauren Hickman tied the score with 4:22 left in regulation.

ESU goalie Lindsay Vandegrift made five saves in posting the victory while Levine had nine saves.

The win evened ESU's record at 2-2 with two games scheduled this weekend, at home against Adelphi Saturday at 10 a.m. as a prelude to the 15th annual Kiwanis-ESU Classic and a rescheduled away game at IUP Sunday at 1 p.m. West Chester is now 3-2.
