ESU-Millersville Women's Soccer

Millersville, PA--Becky Morris notched a hat-trick to lead Millersville University to a 4-1 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference victory over East Stroudsburg University this Saturday.

Morris, assisted by Kristi Burkholder, put Millersville (4-0) up 1-0 in the 19th minute of the game.

East Stroudsburg's Justina Woolf tied the game 1-1 for the Warriors, putting a cross from Dlorah Walkley into the back of the net seven seconds into the second half. Woolf has scored in the last four games for he Warriors and now has four goals and one assist in five games.

Millersville then scored three goals to put the game away. Jen Yoder scored in the 60th minute off of a penalty kick to give her team a 2-1 lead. Morris then scored Millersville's next two goals. Morris scored in the 78th minute from 18-yards out after a pass from Yoder. Followed by an unassisted goal at the 82 minute mark to give Millersville a 4-1 win.

Goalie Liz Guinip stopped 9 out of 15 shots for East Stroudsburg University now 2-3 on the season. Millerville's Liz Agre got the win making 12 saves in 90 minutes of action.

East Stroudsburg returns to action Wednesday, September 20 when they travel to Adelphi University for a 4 o'clock game.
