ESU Forward Justina Woolf Makes All-Region
Women's Soccer Team for Third Straight Year
East Stroudsburg, Pa. - East Stroudsburg University's Justina Woolf has been chosen on the first team of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)-Adidas All-Northeast Regional Division II soccer team for the third straight year. She was a second team choice as a freshman.
Woolf was one of 22 players honored, 11 on the first team and 11 on the second, in a vote of the region's head coaches. She previously had been selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
The senior from Womelsdorf (Tulpehocken High School) led the PSAC in goals with 18 in 17 games for an average of 1.06 per game. She added two assists for 38 points.
Woolf scored a school-record four goals in a 7-5 win over California and had three goals apiece in 3-2 victories over Adelphi and LIU-Southampton. She also had the game-winning goals in a wins over West Chester, 2-1, in overtime and Millersville, 1-0.
A four-year starter, Woolf finished her career with 59 goals, second highest in the school's history, which included five 'hat tricks' and seven other multiple goal games. She had 14 game-winning goals. She set a school record as a junior by scoring goals in eight consecutive games.
The Warriors finished the season with an 8-9 record.
