ESU-Edinboro Women's Soccer
EDINBORO - It didn't take long for East Stroudsburg University's Justina Woolf long to get back in the scoring groove as her two goals lifted the Warriors over Edinboro, 2-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's soccer game Sunday.
Woolf had eight-game scoring streak broken Saturday in the team's 3-0 loss at Slippery Rock. She has 14 of the team's 20 goals this season and has been the only scorer in five different games.
The junior from Womelsdorf scored the only goal of the first half off a pass from Lauren DeRewal. After Edinboro tied the score early in the second half, Woolf knocked in the game-winner a minute later, chipping the ball over goalie Denna Iammarino's head. Tiffanie Savacool got an assist on the play.
The win evened the Warriors' record at 6-6 and lifted their PSAC mark to 3-2. Edinboro is now 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the conference.
